The Opportunity
The industry was full of transactional marketing and self-promotion, but lacked a dedicated platform for authentic storytelling, thought leadership, and community building.
The opportunity wasn't just to publish a magazine— it was to create a content engine that could bring together brands, advertisers, contributors, and readers around a shared point of view.
My Role
Strategist, publisher, creative director, and project lead responsible for concept development, editorial direction, advertising sales, budget management, and production from launch through publication.
The Idea
I envisioned mhm raw as more than a magazine. It was a storytelling platform designed to extend beyond print through digital content, social media, photography, and video.
By combining compelling editorial content with strategic partnerships and advertiser support, we could create a publication that was both creatively ambitious and financially sustainable.
Why It Matters
mhm raw proved that great storytelling requires both creativity and infrastructure. Building a magazine from scratch meant balancing vision with execution and bringing together content, partnerships, budgets, and people around a shared goal.
This project reinforced a lesson that has followed me throughout my career: the best ideas succeed when strong storytelling is supported by strong systems.
